Minimum income guarantee documentation: FOI release

Information request and response under the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002.

Information requested

Could you supply all documentation held by the Scottish Government, including correspondence sent and received (including internal), minutes/notes from meetings, briefings and analysis, about a minimum income guarantee, between February 1 2026 and March 25 2026?

Response

I enclose a copy of most of the information you requested.

While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance we are unable to provide some of the information you have requested because exemptions under sections s.30(b)(ii) (free and frank exchange of views) and s.38(1)(b) (personal information) of FOISA apply to that information. The reasons why these exemptions apply are explained in Annex A to this letter.

Some of the information you have requested is available from the Scottish Parliament website, specifically at this page: Written question and answer: S6W-44462 | Scottish Parliament Website. Under section 25(1) of FOISA, we do not have to give you information which is already reasonably accessible to you. If, however, you do not have internet access to obtain this information from the website listed, then please contact me again and I will send you a paper copy.
