Information requested

Materials of any and all audit reviews or any reviews conducted by Scottish Government education or audit staff of the SAAS which relate to organisational culture, internal controls, customer service etc.for 2025-2026.

Response

Whilst our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance the Student Awards Agency Scotland (SAAS) does not hold recorded information in scope of your request for the 2025–2026 period.

SAAS has not undertaken, nor been subject to, any audit reviews relating to the categories specified in your request during this timeframe.

Therefore, this is a formal notice under section 17(1) of the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002 (FOISA) that SAAS does not hold the information you have requested for the specified period.

However, in line with our duty to advise and assist, we can confirm that SAAS holds information relating to a previous audit which covered some of the categories you have requested, but which falls out with the timeframe of your request. A copy of that information has been provided for context.

Please note that some information within the attached document has been redacted under section 38(1)(b) of FOISA, as disclosure would contravene the data protection principles by releasing personal data relating to third parties.
