The minutes and/or notes of any meetings between the First Minister and Lord Peter Mandelson since February 2025 - or the minutes or notes of any meetings that they both attended.

Response

While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance we are unable to provide some of the information you have requested because exemptions of FOISA under the sections s25 (1) – otherwise publicly available applies. The reasons why that exemption have been applies is explained below.

The attached annex includes some of the information you requested. This includes a note of a call the First Minister had with Lord Mandelson on 27 July 2025. No exemptions have been applied to this note.

FOISA Exemptions

An exemption under section 25 (1) – otherwise publicly available – applies to the note of the meeting between the First Minister and President Trump. This means some of the information is in the public domain and already reasonably accessible to you. This includes a note of the First Minister’s meeting with President Trump.
