Information request and response under the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002.

Information requested

You asked for:

On 25 November 2019 the First Minister was interviewed by Andrew Neil on the BBC. In one exchange on the implications of using the Sustainable Growth Commission recommendations to the past 10 years of Scottish spending the First Minister stated that:

"I've had that modelling done by the Scottish Government" - 18:20 in https://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/m000bqs0/the-andrew-neil-interviews-election-2019-nicola-sturgeon

I would like to see the results of that modelling and have confirmation of when it took place and any direct discussion if it was suitable for the Scottish Government to model a party proposal.

Response

I respond to your request in three parts.

(1) the results of the modelling
(2) confirmation of when it took place
(3) direct discussion if it was suitable for the Scottish Government to model a party proposal

I attach the information that you have requested in Annex A.

2. Confirmation of when it took place

3. Direct discussion if it was suitable for the Scottish Government to model a party proposal

While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance the Scottish Government does not have the information you have requested. This is a formal notice under section 17(1) of FOISA that the Scottish Government does not have the information you have requested.
