10 SIFAG was established in 1999 by the Scottish Fishermen’s Federation and the Scottish Executive Environment and Rural Affairs Department to advise Ministers on the development of proposals and their implementation as part of the overall process of determining and applying policy and legislation relating to sea fishing in inshore waters. By 2013, SIFAG responsibilities has been passed to the Fisheries Management and Conservation Group (FMAC).
11 Note that these FMPs are different from those under development under the Fisheries Act 2020 which are reports on fisheries stock management.
