We would like to extend our thanks to the many people and organisations who have contributed to this study.

We are grateful to the Research Advisory Group for their advice throughout. Our very special thanks go to Gillian Achurch from the Scottish Government's Equality and Social Justice Analysis Team for all her help, support and patience.

We would also like to thank the many professionals and organisations who helped us out. We understand just how much pressure many services have been under, and we genuinely appreciate people finding the time.

This study aims to shine some light on what it was like to manage on a low income during the pandemic. It would not have been possible without people agreeing to give us their time and share their stories. We cannot thank them enough for their insight, frankness, and good humour. It was a genuine privilege and pleasure to speak with people and we hope we have done them justice. We also send them all our very best wishes for the future.
