Draft Environment Strategy consultation: statement
Statement on the consultation undertaken during the development of the Environment Strategy for Scotland, as required under Section 47 of the UK Withdrawal from the European Union (Continuity) (Scotland) Act 2021.
Introduction
This Statement is laid under section 47(8) of the Continuity Act, which sets out the requirements for Scottish Ministers before publishing an environmental policy strategy. Alongside the strategy, Ministers must lay before the Scottish Parliament a statement setting out: details of the consultation that was carried out; a summary of any views expressed in response to the consultation; and either details of how those views (if any) have been taken into account in preparing the strategy or document, or a statement that no views were expressed in response to the consultation, or that no account has been taken of views expressed.
Laid under section 47(8) of the UK Withdrawal from the European Union (Continuity) (Scotland) Act 2021 (“the Continuity Act”).[1]
