The Scottish Government would like your views on how we can protect and support children. This is especially those in conflict with the law.

Courts

Children and young people have told us about the difficulties they have at court. It can be hard to understand and can be traumatic.

We want more children to go to the children's hearings system. However the most serious cases will still go to the criminal justice system.

There are already things happening to make courts better for children. We have lots of ideas about what more we could do.
