Children (Withdrawal from Religious Education and Amendment of UNCRC Compatibility Duty) (Scotland) Bill: consumer duty assessment
This document is a point in time assessment of the likely impacts of the Children (Withdrawal from Religious Education and Amendment of UNCRC Compatibility Duty) (Scotland) Bill in relation to the Consumer Duty.
To note
As part of consideration of the wider suite of impact assessments, the Scottish Government also considered whether or not a Business and Regulatory Impact Assessment should be undertaken. However, it was concluded that the only direct impact on businesses as a result of the legislation would be on grant-aided schools, and that these impacts had been sufficiently considered as part of the costs to public authorities section in the financial memorandum for the Bill. (Due to the fact that the impacts on grant-aided schools will be the same as the impacts on public authorities in relation to the schools they operate.)
