Fuel poverty strategy for Scotland: consultation

The consultation seeks views on proposals to tackle and diminish fuel poverty in Scotland.

Footnotes

1. The UK Minimum Income Standard is produced by Loughborough University for the Joseph Rowntree Foundation and attempts to define the income that different household types need in order to reach a minimum socially acceptable standard of living, drawing on the experience and opinions of ordinary people. The Panel recommends that, for the purposes of fuel poverty, the definition be based on 90% of the MIS total for each household type, excluding council tax, rent, water rates, fuel costs and childcare costs.
