Child trafficking: research

Research on the routes and circumstances of children and young people who have been identified as victims of trafficking and exploitation in Scotland, and their experiences of support services.

Many thanks to those agencies and professionals in Scotland who contributed to the research, and to the National Child Trafficking Strategy Group who supported the research and provided comments on progress. Thanks also to the National Crime Agency who provided anonymised National Referral Mechanism statistics relating to the index time-period for the research.

Thank you especially to the young people who shared their experiences of the support they have received in Scotland.

The report was reviewed and edited by Scottish Government Children and Families Analysis Unit, although the views expressed in the report are those of the authors and do not necessarily reflect the views of the Strategy Group, or the Scottish Government.
