Tackling child poverty skills package: child rights and wellbeing impact assessment
This impact assessment considers the potential impacts of a £22 million skills package, comprising RISE, TAF and a new FWDF. The package aims to help reduce child poverty by supporting people to gain skills, access education, and enter, sustain and progress in work.

Planning for the review of impact on children’s rights and wellbeing
Monitoring and evaluating participation and outcomes of our skills support package will be undertaken. This will be developed to ensure these priority groups are not only accessing suitable training opportunities, but considering if indicatively people are progressing to, for example, better paid employment, and taking remedial action if data suggests this is not the case.
The CRWIA will be reviewed and updated as required following the conclusion of the first year of funding, once suitable data is made available.
