12. Planning for the review of impact on children’s rights and wellbeing
- How will the impact of the proposal on children’s rights and wellbeing be monitored?
- When will you review and update the CRWIA if required?
The impact of the Plan on children’s rights and wellbeing will be monitored through ongoing engagement with children and young people, feedback from local authorities and community organisations, and review of relevant indicators in the Scottish Islands Data Dashboard. Any issues or emerging impacts identified will inform future actions, adjustments, and targeted interventions within the Plan’s delivery.
This CRWIA will be reviewed and updated as required alongside the National Islands Plan’s annual reporting cycle, or sooner if new evidence, policy changes, or evidence indicates that updates are necessary. Any updates will ensure that the assessment remains accurate and that the Plan continues to support children’s rights effectively.
Continued engagement through schools, youth organisations and local participation structures will help ensure that implementation of the Plan reflects children’s lived experience and supports their rights to be heard.
