Biodiversity Programme Advisory Group – citizen and society target indicators: summary of responses

The Biodiversity Programme Advisory Group (PAG) has provided expert recommendations to inform statutory nature restoration targets under Scotland’s proposed Natural Environment Bill, a key component of the strategic framework for biodiversity in Scotland.

7. Ask of PAG;

The below questions were presented in an MS Form and sent to the PAG along with the paper.

Name

Do you agree with the way in which this target has been described/ conceptualised under understanding nature (3.1), benefiting from nature (3.2) and contributing to nature (3.3)? If not, what aspects should be change, added or removed?

Do you foresee the desired action taken on the indirect drivers (2) being driven forward via this target? If not, what aspects should be changed, added or removed?

In reference to section 4.1-4.4, are you aware of other evidence sources that are in progress that should be considered?

In reference to section 4.5, is there still appetite to explore any of these as potential indicators, if so, are there key ones that need to be prioritised, and why?

Are there any further gaps and considerations relating to this topic area that currently aren’t captured in this paper?

Do you agree with the recommended suggested indicators (section 6)? Do you think other potential indicators explored in the paper, but not recommended, should be further considered?

If you have anything further you wish to share that doesn't fit the above questions, please do so here.
