Business Insights and Conditions in Scotland (wave 160): 30 July 2026
Business Insights and Conditions Survey (BICS) weighted Scotland data up to survey period 6 July to 19 July 2026 (Wave 160). The BICS provides statistics on how current conditions are affecting businesses in Scotland, including impact on financial performance, workforce, trade and resilience.
Turnover
Businesses that were currently trading were asked how their turnover in June 2026 compared with the previous calendar month.
Figure 4: Around a third of businesses (32.2%) reported that their turnover had increased in June 2026 compared with the previous month, which was in line with May 2026 (29.8%), but up on June 2025 (25.8%).
