Business Performance

In August 2025 businesses were asked how they expect their business’s overall performance to change over the next 12 months.

Figure 5: In August 2025, an estimated 26.4% of businesses expected their business performance to increase over the next 12 months; the lowest percentage in the series which goes back to April 2022. An estimated 13.5% of businesses expected performance to decrease.
