Latest main findings for businesses with 10+ employees and a presence in Scotland
- the top concern for businesses for July 2025 was falling demand of goods and services (12.8%); an estimated 18.8% of businesses had no concerns
- for an estimated 26.8% of businesses, the prices of materials, goods or services bought in May 2025 increased compared with April 2025, down from 40.3% in the previous month
- an estimated 16.3% of businesses increased the prices of goods or services they sold in May 2025 compared with April 2025, down from 28.9% in the previous month
- an estimated 15.6% of businesses were expecting to increase the prices of goods or services sold in July 2025; labour costs was the top factor for businesses considering price increases (reported by 38.6%)
- in June 2025, an estimated 31.7% of businesses expected their business performance to increase over the next 12 months; an estimated 10.3% of businesses expected performance to decrease
