Bee Health Improvement Partnership (BHIP) Annual Report 2024
This second annual report of the Bee Health Improvement Partnership (BHIP) provides an overview of its activities and progress during the second year of Scotland's second 10-year Honey Bee Health Strategy, which was published in 2022.
Introduction
This is the second annual report of the activities of the Bee Health Improvement Partnership (BHIP) following the publication of Scotland’s second 10-year Honey Bee Health Strategy in 2022.
The purpose of this report is to outline and reflect on the progress made by the BHIP, the aim of which is to work in partnership to achieve a healthy and sustainable population of honey bees in Scotland.
The BHIP serves as a vital link between Scottish Government officials and stakeholders, playing an essential role in gathering insights on the views and needs of the sector. This has provided invaluable guidance to inform honey bee health policy and decision-making. Additionally, the BHIP has been instrumental in effectively communicating key messages to their respective members, ensuring that important information reaches the right audiences.
The Scottish Government extends its gratitude to all members of the BHIP for their valuable contributions and ongoing support towards the achievements of Scotland’s Honey Bee Health Strategy in year 2 of its second 10-year iteration and look forward to continuing this partnership throughout the remainder of the strategy’s duration.
