Highly pathogenic avian influenza was confirmed on 18 March 2025.
Highly pathogenic avian influenza was confirmed at a premises in Daviot, near Inverness (AIV 2025/30) on 18 March 2025.
A Protection Zone and Surveillance Zone were declared. An end to these disease control zones was declared on 22 April 2025, following completion of cleansing, disinfection and mandatory surveillance requirements.
This means all restrictions within this area have been lifted.
