Strategic environmental assessment (SEA) post-adoption statement for the Agricultural Reform.
Structure of this Post Adoption Statement
Section 18(3) of the 2005 Act requires that when a plan or programme is adopted, the consultation bodies and the public are informed and sets out the information that should be included in the SEA Post Adoption Statement. In summary it should include:
I) how the environmental considerations have been integrated into the plan, programme or strategy;
II) how the Environmental Report has been taken into account;
III) how the opinions expressed by consultees have been taken into account;
IV) the reasons for choosing the plan, programme or strategy as adopted, as adopted (Section 18(3)e); and
V) the measures to be taken to monitor the significant environmental effects of the implementation of the plan, programme or strategy (Section 18(3)f).
The purpose of this Post Adoption Statement is to provide the specific information outlined under each of the points listed (i) to (v) above and which is presented in the following sections of this statement.
