Actions
To help build safer communities we are:
- taking action to promote the safe and appropriate use of fireworks
- taking action to help prevent people going missing

working to tackle sectarianism

supporting initiatives to reduce unintentional harm and injuries
- working with police to ensure firearms and air weapons are properly licensed
- investing in the police service
- investing in the fire and rescue service
- taking action to prevent crime and violence
- preparing for all kinds of emergencies, and providing advice to householders and businesses through our Ready Scotland website
- strengthening road safety through stringent drink and drug driving limits

- prevention and early intervention to improve well being and life chances
- our system and interventions are proportionate, fair and effective
- we deliver person-centred, modern and affordable public services
