Business: Scottish Regulators Forum
Overview
This forum was launched in December 2025 to reinvigorate collaboration among regulators across Scotland. Its purpose is to improve regulatory coherence, share best practice, and ensure that regulation supports economic growth while protecting communities and public interests.
It will meet regularly to:
- provide a space for regulators to exchange ideas and lessons learned
- support the Scottish Government’s Better Regulation agenda, including updating the Strategic Code of Practice
- act as a sounding board for regulatory reform initiatives and public service improvements
The updated code of practice is planned for publication in late 2026.
