Adult learning disabilities - annual health checks: national data programme board
Overview
This group was set up in September 2024 to sit alongside the national implementation group to support health boards to deliver annual health checks to people 16+ with a learning disability.
The group has a focus on the governance and delivery arrangements required to support the use and recording of health check data, and to provide collective leadership and support for health boards to ensure that they can meet the reporting requirements set out in the Scottish Government directions. This includes developing a standardised approach to:
1. Recording health check delivery and outcomes, including:
- coding individual health checks
- writing health check data back to GP clinical records
2. Information Governance and data sharing
