This Learning Workshop gave delegates an opportunity to meet with colleagues from across NHSScotland and share the outcomes of the Unscheduled Care work they have been undertaking to improve performance but also to explore some new innovations and initiatives that have been found beneficial in improving the patient experience, safety and outcomes.
We have seen pockets of innovation and helped establish good practice in some Boards which have delivered tangible improvements and have stood the test of the festive period. The challenge for those sites now is to focus on sustaining those hard fought for gains and embedding the changes so they become ‘business as usual’ and building on next steps for continuous improvement. Despite the positive improvements so far implementation of initiatives and best practice this event was scheduled to set a clear direction for the coming year and to inform delegates of the next steps.
