A report on the payments made into and out of the Victim Surcharge Fund, the recipient organisations, the administration costs and balance of the fund for the period 1 April 2024 to 31 March 2025.

Application Process
The Fund was opened for the fifth time to applications from organisations that provide support to victims of crime on 1 August 2024. The deadline for applications to the Fund was 12 September 2024.
By the closing date, 15 applications to the Fund had been received.
The applications were independently assessed by a panel of four Scottish Government officials against a pre-agreed matrix. A panel meeting was held on 2 October 2024 where individual findings were discussed, and a consensus reached on which of the applications met the criteria required (as set out in the Victim Surcharge Fund Guidance).
Thirteen applications met the criteria and were approved for funding by Scottish Ministers. The organisations were informed in December 2024.
