Introduction

The Chair welcomed members to the meeting.

Colleagues were recognised and thanked for their continued support of this group. Noting the important role this group will have in the coming months with new Ministers and the final stages of approval of the Code of Practice.

Minutes

Members approved the minutes from last meeting.

Update on the EHRC Code of Practice

The Unit Head for Equality Division outlined ongoing preparations for the revised Code of Practice.

Colleagues were asked to revisit their initial analysis in readiness for the updated Code being laid in UK Parliament during May.

Once the UK Government lay the Code in Parliament, relevant policy areas will be asked to undertake a detailed analysis on the latest draft of the Code.

A general update was provided on ongoing work.
