Update on the EHRC Code of Practice

The Unit Head for the Equalities Division confirmed that the EHRC Code of Practice has been approved by the Secretary of State.

It was noted that the Code was laid before the UK Parliament on 21 May for a 40‑day scrutiny period.

Policy teams were asked to carefully consider and analyse the EHRC Code of Practice and provide feedback on the latest draft.

Legal Update

A general update was provided on ongoing work.

The outcome of the West Lothian Council judicial review was noted.
