Introduction 

The Chair opened the meeting by thanking members for their continued work since the ruling was handed down, noting the group were about to make some significant steps. 
The Chair passed on thanks for the Cabinet Secretary who noted the significant progress made and the importance on keeping connected across teams.

Members agreed minutes with one minor correction. 

Update on legal issues 

An update was provided on recent developments and activity taking place in the following days.  
Chair highlighted the importance of this work. 

Letter from Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC)

An update was provided on recent correspondence received by Scottish Government from the EHRC and how this would be responded to. 

DG health and social care update 

DG Health and Social Care provided an update on their current position in relation to the ruling and next steps. 
Work is continuing to review policies, practices and estates.  

Update from DG areas 

Discussion around upcoming announcements and the coordination of these.
Office of the Chief statistician will provide an update of their work at a future meeting. 

Update from communications 

Communications provided some additional comments on upcoming announcements and media handling.
