Who are these Standards for?
Young people up to the age of 25 who need help with alcohol or drugs.
Why do we need these Standards?
We want fewer people to have problems with alcohol or drugs. This means helping people early, giving clear information, and giving people choices in support.
You should get safe and helpful support when you need it.
Who made these standards?
We listened to young people and support providers. We asked what helps those who need alcohol or drug support.
What should you expect when getting support?

- Choices about the type of help you get.
- Respect and kindness from workers.
- Good quality care.
- Safety and privacy.
- Have your voice heard.
- Support to talk about anything else that is worrying you.
