This report draws on data from the Access to Finance Survey 2010 to assess access to finance conditions for SMEs.
In July 2009, the Scottish Government published its first survey on Access to Finance for Small and Medium-Sized enterprises (SMEs) to assess credit conditions in Scotland at the height of the financial crisis. A follow-up survey was carried out in November 2009. This report, published in March 2011, presents the findings of the 2010 SME Access to Finance Survey. It considers how credit conditions are perceived to have changed for SMEs in Scotland since 2009. In addition, evidence from a range of other sources is incorporated to give a more complete view of the finance landscape.
