Scottish Government Ministers: complaints

Number of formal complaints made by civil servants about a current or former Minister’s behaviour

Civil servants can make a formal complaint under the procedure for handling complaints made by civil servants about a current or former Minister’s behaviour.

The aim of this procedure is to ensure that formal complaints raised about current or former Ministers about unacceptable behaviour towards civil servants are handled sensitively, fairly and in a timely manner. This is in line with our commitment to staff to creating a workplace free from bullying, harassment and discrimination.

The first publication covers the period from when the procedure was made live in February 2022. This information will then be updated every six months.

We will publish the outcome of any complaints once the investigation, including any appeal, is concluded.
