Scotland’s Cladding Remediation Programme monthly management information: December 2025

This report presents management information for Scotland’s Cladding Remediation Programme to provide an indication of progress on a monthly basis.


Key points

  1. As at 31 December 2025, the Cladding Remediation Programme had received 1,733 expressions of interest (EoIs) via the Single Open Call, which was an increase of 478 over the previous month.
  2. Just over half of the EoIs (52%) were submitted by social landlords. Similarly just over half (54%) of the EoIs received related to buildings in Glasgow City and City of Edinburgh local authority areas.
  3. As at 31 December 2025, the Cladding Remediation Programme had identified that 452 (26%) of the EoIs received as part of the Single Open Call were not eligible for funding from the Cladding Remediation Programme to carry out a Single Building Assessment (SBA).
  4. As at 31 December 2025, the Cladding Remediation Programme had issued initial grant or funding offers in relation to 494 EoIs. This number had increased by 19 over the previous month.
  5. As at 31 December 2025, the Cladding Remediation Programme had been informed that 17 SBAs, based on the specification published in June 2024, had been completed, which was an increase of one from the previous month. All 17 completed SBAs identified that remediation work was required.
  6. As at 31 December 2025, urgent interim measures were in place in buildings relating to eight of the completed SBAs. This was an increase of two compared to the previous month.
  7. Remediation work had started in buildings relating to two of the completed SBAs, including one where urgent interim measures were also in place, which had not increased from the previous month.
  8. The Cladding Remediation Programme’s expenditure from financial year 2021/22 to 31 December 2025 was £15.9 million.
