A Review of Child Neglect in Scotland

The study reviewed the scale and nature of child neglect in Scotland and was conducted by researchers at te University of Stirling.

The authors, based at the University of Stirling, would like to thank the Child Protection Committee Lead Officers across Scotland who completed the survey questionnaire. We are particularly grateful to those Lead Officers, who together with their colleagues also arranged the multi-agency focus groups. The contributions of staff from a range of agencies who took the time to attend the focus groups were greatly valued. In addition, we appreciated the support and advice of Catriona Laird, the Scottish Child Protection Committee Co-ordinator.

The project was funded by the Scottish Government and undertaken in partnership with Action for Children.
