Co-creation

In July 2021, an online public idea generation workshop was held, focussing on the health and social care commitment for Scotland’s Open Government Action Plan 2021. This was facilitated by DemSoc, with input from the Scottish Government Team leading on this commitment. You can view the outputs of this workshop

The outputs of this workshop were then picked up by a working group, made up of members from Government and Civil Society. Civil society members invited had been proposed by Scottish Government colleagues for their relevant skills and experience.

Members represented health and social care, third sector, community groups and lived experience. We also sought membership from individuals with considerable experience in co-production and open government. We considered this important as it allowed our approach to be scrutinised and challenged.

The group met twice, following which a draft commitment was created, and feedback received from the group by email.
