Title of Policy: NHSScotland Manual Handling Policy.
Summary of aims and desired outcomes of Policy: The aim of this policy is to promote awareness of safe manual handling practices, ensure compliance among employees, reduce and manage risks associated with lifting, carrying, and moving loads, and provide support for staff with musculoskeletal symptoms.
This is a refresh of the previous Promoting Safe Manual Handling NHSScotland PIN policy (January 2003).
