Title of Policy: NHSScotland Lone Working Policy

Summary of aims and desired outcomes of Policy: The aim of the policy is to provide a safety framework for anyone who works alone by raising awareness of safety issues related to lone working. The policy also aims to support staff who work by themselves, assess and manage all associated risks, encourage full reporting of any incidents and reduce injuries and incidents for all lone workers.

This is a refresh of the previous Protecting the Health, Safety and Welfare of People Working Alone NHSScotland PIN policy (January 2003).
