National Care Service: complaints and redress research and co-design report

This report sets out findings we have gathered through research and co-design that relate to complaints and redress.

About the National Care Service

The Scottish Government is working with people and organisations across Scotland to improve:

  • social care
  • community health
  • social work

We are introducing the National Care Service (NCS). It will ensure there is fair, high-quality social care support for everyone who needs it.

Delivered in a way that fulfils people's human rights and supports them to live full and independent lives. Co-design and engagement with people who have experience of receiving and delivering social care support has been invaluable to this work.

The NCS must be person-centered, and the outputs of the co-design work are crucial to this. People have told us that the system needs to change. We want the NCS to improve the care experience for everyone in Scotland.
