GDP Monthly Estimate: December 2025

In the three months to December (Quarter 4 2025), compared to the three months to September (Quarter 3 2025):
- Scotland’s real onshore Gross Domestic Product (GDP) grew by an estimated 0.1% This follows a growth of 0.4% in the 3 three months to November 2025 and 0.3% in the three months to October 2025.
- Production sector output is estimated to have grown by 1.4%, while the services sector is estimated to have grown by 0.1%. Construction sector output contracted by 2.1%.
- Manufacturing and Professional, Scientific and Technical Services made the largest positive contribution to overall GDP growth, contributing around 0.1 percentage points respectively. Information & Communication made the largest negative contribution contributing around -0.2 percentage points.
Monthly GDP is estimated to have grown by 0.1% in December 2025, after revised contraction of 0.2% in November (revised up from -0.4%). This follows unrevised contraction of 0.2% in October.
