Ministerial Forum (EU Negotiations) communique: February 2019

Communique agreed at the meeting of the Ministerial Forum (EU Negotiations) on 25 February 2019. 


The eighth meeting of the Ministerial Forum (EU Negotiations) was held today in Cathays Park, Cardiff and was chaired by the Minister for the Constitution, Chloe Smith MP, and the Parliamentary Under Secretary of State at the Department for Exiting the EU, Robin Walker MP.

The principal agenda items at the meeting were:

  • an update and discussion on the UK’s exit from the EU
  • a discussion on data issues, including the protection of personal data in the context of our future relationship with the EU
  • a discussion on the role of the Ministerial Forum in the next phase of negotiations
