What would the changes do?

The changes would:

  • Create a recorded matters system for Orders made by the court and prison governors, which is the same as the one used for Compulsory Treatment Orders.
  • Allow recorded matters to be added, changed or removed when needed.
  • Make sure there is a clear way to complain to the Tribunal if a recorded matter is not being given.
  • Give patients and named persons the right to ask the Tribunal for recorded matters to be added, changed or removed.
  • Put key professionals in charge of recorded matters at reviews.
