Marine and coastal restoration plan: equality impact assessment

Equality impact assessment (EQIA) for the Marine and Coastal Restoration Plan.

Recommendations and Conclusion

The actions set out in the Marine and Coastal Restoration Plan have not changed as a result of the EQIA. However, the process has highlighted the need to consider existing issues as we implement the plan in a way that encourages increased participation in marine and coastal restoration from disabled people and ethnic minorities.

The marine and coastal restoration plan will be reviewed on a five-year cycle. This document will be reviewed to ensure there are no future unintended negative consequences on equality issues, or to capture further positive impacts. If it is found that there would be a negative impact, these would be assessed and appropriate mitigation measures would be implemented as necessary.
