What is the review about?

A review is when something is looked at to see if it is working well and what needs to change.

Kerry gave a presentation on:

  • organisations in Scotland that check social care services
  • laws about rules and inspection
  • project times
  • 2 advisory panels
  • events to find out what people think

Action

An action is what will happen.

The presentation will be shared with the panel.

It will then be put on the Independent Review of Social Care Services web page.

Terms of Reference

Terms of Reference is a document that sets out what work a group will do and how they will do it.

The Terms of Reference were agreed after a couple of changes to the wording.

Action:

The new version will be shared with the Panel and put on the Independent Review of Social Care Services webpage.

Stakeholder Engagement Strategy

Stuart talked about plans to have events to ask people what they think.

Action

The Panel will be sent the plan for:

  • how this will be done
  • when events will happen

The Panel will say what they think.

The plan will then be put on the Independent Review of Social Care Services web page.

Work plan for when the review is happening

The chair and vice chair talked about:

  • ways of working when the review is happening
  • how information could be shared with the group

Action

The Panel will share useful research and documents.

This will be done using a safe and secure computer system used by the Scottish Government.

The next Independent Review Panel meeting will take place on 11 November.
