Housing First: monitoring reports
Housing First monitoring reports from 1 April 2024 to 30 September 2024.
Introduction
Housing First is aimed at people who have multiple and complex needs and who may have a history of rough sleeping and repeat homelessness. The Housing First approach ensures those with high support needs are allocated settled accommodation with intensive support. There is no requirement to prove ‘tenancy readiness’. Housing First is based on the concept that most of us, with the right support, can manage our own home.
The Scottish Government and COSLA are committed to large-scale adoption of Housing First across Scotland.
Housing First monitoring
This monitoring framework captures progress on the scaling up of Housing First across Scotland and will collect information on all new Housing First tenancies since 1 April 2021.
This monitoring framework will collect data on household characteristics; referral routes to Housing First; support provision; and tenancy sustainment. It will also record positive outcomes as a result of Housing First tenancies, including training and employment.
Older monitoring reports are available from our archive.
