This page presents data from two further analyses of the Health and Care Experience Survey 2025 to 2026.
The first is an analysis of reported levels of need and unmet need for care and support with everyday living among adults aged 65 and over by their age, and among disabled adults aged under 65 by their level of disability. It updates figures previously published in the 2023 to 2024 report on unmet need in older adults, and introduces new analysis for disabled adults under 65 years of age. This analysis was first published on 26 May 2026.
The second is a time-series analysis looking at how people's experience of receiving help, care or support for everyday living has changed over time. It presents people's overall rating of the care and support they have received, and their agreement with the statement "People took account of the things that mattered to me", using data from the Health and Care Experience surveys from 2015-16 to 2025-26. It updates analysis previously presented in the publication 'Health and Care Experience (HACE) survey 2023-24 - further analysis of care experience', extending the time period covered to include data from the 2025 to 2026 HACE survey. This analysis was first published on 4 August 2026.
