12. Planning for the review of impact on children’s rights and wellbeing

The Ministerial Oversight Group on Gypsy/Travellers Action Plan 2024-2026, the Scottish Government’s Gypsy/Travellers Policy Delivery Group, and the Gypsy/Travellers Stakeholders Group are responsible for providing accountability for the Gypsy/Travellers Action Plan 2024-2026 and they will take into account the impact of the proposal on children’s rights and wellbeing, reviewing and updating the CRWIA if required.

A variety of methods will also be used to assess the impact on the education objectives. The education short life working group will meet three times to monitor and review progress of education actions. Each action has a key audience, eg, teaching staff, community advocates and children—for each group an appropriate monitoring and evaluation approach will be used. For example, teachers complete online evaluation forms at 6 monthly intervals, community advocates will provide feedback informally through community conversations and children provide feedback as an integral part of education activities. Children’s feedback can be accessed through art, drama and literacy-related activities. Similar groups exists to monitor actions in other areas, including Health.
