Apprenticeship funding data: FOI release

Information requested

1. The budget allocated to apprenticeship programmes in the 2025-26 Scottish Budget.

2. The amount actually spent in the 2025-26 financial year on such programmes.

Response

Funding for apprenticeships is drawn from the budgets of Skills Development Scotland (SDS), the Scottish Funding Council (SFC) and the Student Awards Agency Scotland (SAAS). These budgets are all in the public domain, at Scottish Budget 2025 to 2026 - gov.scot

We do not yet have all of the information from the 3 public bodies for 2025/26 spend on apprenticeships, annual accounts for these bodies will be published later this year.
