Information requested
I would be grateful if you could provide a schedule showing the number of external Local Delivery Advisor appointments made in each month of the 2024-2025 and 2025-2026 financial years.
Specifically, please provide:
Request for information 1: The month/year.
Request for information 2: How many Local Delivery Advisor appointments were made that month.
Request for information 3: Whether they took place in a home, community venue, prison, hospital etc that month.
Request for information 4: How much was spent on car hire by the advisors that month.

Social Security Scotland have designed services around commitments set out in Our Charter by ensuring services are delivered with dignity, fairness and respect, and accessible to all.
By offering multiple ways to apply and maintain a strong local presence across Scotland we remove barriers and ensure people can engage in a way that suits them.

These figures are based on management information which is manually gathered. As these figures are based on management information, they have not been quality assured to the same standard as Official Statistics.
Request for information 4:
Local Delivery advisors primarily use hire vehicles to visit Social Security Scotland clients in their homes. They may also meet with stakeholders and partner organisations in community venues and relevant locations across Scotland.
Any form of business travel used by colleagues follows the relevant authorisation process, with consideration given to client needs, the environment and value for money.
