Information requested

1) As of the date of this request, of those teachers who retired on or before 31 Dec 2022 how many have been issued with a Remediable Service Statement (RSS) as part of the McCloud remedy? Please provide the total number.

2) As of the date of this request, how many teachers who retired on or before 31 Dec 2022 have not yet been issued with a Remediable Service Statement (RSS) as part of the McCloud remedy? Please provide the total number.

3) As of the date of this request, of those teachers who retired on or before 31 Dec 2022 and have been issued with a Remediable Service Statement (RSS) as part of the McCloud remedy, how many have received a payment as a result of that process? Please provide the total number.

Response

1) Of the teachers who are members of the Scottish Teachers’ Superannuation Scheme and retired before 31 December 2022, 4,645 have been issued with an RSS.

2) Of the teachers who are members of the Scottish Teachers’ Superannuation Scheme and retired before 31 December 2022, 12,148 have not yet been issued with an RSS.

3) Of the teachers who are members of the Scottish Teachers’ Superannuation Scheme, retired before 31 December 2022, and have been issued an RSS, 30 have so far received a payment as part of the process.
