I have now completed my review of our response to your request under the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002 (FOISA) for:

(1) The total number of FOI requests made to the Scottish Government by the bbc in 2025

(2) The total number of FOI requests made to the Scottish Government by STV in 2025

I have concluded that a different decision should be substituted.

By using knowledge of the email suffixes used by the BBC and STV I am able to carry out a search for cases in scope of your request. Carrying out searches in this way assumes requests have been made using the business email address.

Therefore I am now releasing this information to you, in full, below.
