Information requested

1) At the time of this request, how many emails sent to psod@gov.scot.uk have yet to receive a substantive response (i.e. more than a simple acknowledgement)?

2) Over the past twelve months (or six months if it is significantly easier to provide this figure) what is the average length of time for a substantive response to be issued to correspondence sent to in email address psod@gov.scot?

3) In the past 12 months (or six months if it is significantly easier to provide this figure), what percentage of intimations of intention to pension share made to psod@gov.scot.uk or by post to SPPA have been responded to with the required information within the statutory period of 21 days provided for in regulation 4(1) of the Pensions on Divorce etc. (Provision of Information) Regulations 2000

4) In the past twelve months (or six months if it is significantly easier to provide this figure), what percentage of requests for a CETV for divorce purposes submitted to SPPA have been responded to with the CETV requested within the three month statutory period?

5) At the time of this request, how many requests for a CETV have yet to be provided with the valuation requested more than three months since the request was made?

Response

1) At the time of this request, there is no system for daily recording of outstanding emails therefore we cannot answer this based on the time of request. However, as at 23 April 2026 there were 28 outstanding emails awaiting reply in the mail box.

2) At the time of this request, there is no system for recording outlook email response times from point of receipt. Member emails will shortly migrate to an improved process with an online portal which will allow the recording of response times from point of receipt. There is no current plan to create such a system for non-member emails but this is subject to ongoing review.

3) Over the past twelve months, 35% of notifications of intention to pursue pension sharing submitted to SPPA have been responded to with the required information within the statutory 21-day period.

4) Our system cannot differentiate CETV casework therefore we are unable to report solely on CETV activity, however 50% of requests submitted to SPPA for divorce purposes were completed and returned within the statutory three-month time-frame.

5) We cannot differentiate CETV cases with other casework but we have approved IT changes to our system and expect to be able to differentiate new CETV cases going forward, as part of a wider improvement plan around CETV and related work.
